John Wall is considering challenging Blake Griffin for NBA slam dunk supremacy.

Wall is considering entering the next NBA slam dunk contest - whenever that may be - he said at an event for the release of his new Reebok Zig Encore basketball shoe in New York City on Wednesday.

"Yeah I'm thinking about it," Wall said during a question and answer session, according to the Washington Post. "Maybe this year or next year I'll probably enter the dunk contest."

Wall has wowed crowds around the country during the NBA lockout by throwing down spectacular dunks in pro-am and charity games. He was hampered by injuries during his rookie season but has declared that he is back to having the explosiveness he showed at Kentucky, according to the Washington Post.
