The Wayne County coroner has released the names of three people killed in a fire overnight.

The fire was first reported at a home along KY-1009 around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, about 15 miles south of Monticello.

Douglas Walker, 53, was declared dead at the scene.

The coroner says EMS took two people rescued from the home to Wayne County Hospital, where they later died. He identified them as Melvina Walker, 60, and 3-year-old Jaimie Elliott.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
