Week 11 High School Football Rankings

After several weeks of relative stability in the AP high school football polls, the final week of regular season action brought some shakeups.

In class 1A Hazard edged into the top-five at No. 5 after its 50-28 win over Sheldon Clark.

Danville fell two spots to fifth in 2A with a loss to Frankfort. Bardstown climbed from seventh into third. Lexington Christian fell out of the rankings after dropping its third straight game 12-6 to Green County.

We have a new No. 1 in 3A. Undefeated Breathitt County grabbed the top spot. Central dropped into second after a 1-point loss to Pleasure Ridge Park. Bourbon County climbed one spot to third, and Bell County dropped to fourth after falling to Harlan County.

In 4A, Russell County jumped up to second with its blowout of Adair County, coupled with Covington Catholic getting upset by Conner 13-12. Lexington Catholic tumbled a couple of spots to fourth after falling 35-21 to Bowling Green.

In 6A, Lafayette finally broke into the rankings, coming in at ninth.
