Elijah Bell rolled up 369 yards and a touchdown, leading Henry Clay to a 53-36 victory over George Rogers Clark. Davion Jackson and Anthony Lindsey both scored a pair of TDs for the Blue Devils. Two GRC players eclipsed the century mark running the ball. Darian Skinner picked up 159 yards and two touchdowns, and C.D. Spight rushed for 129 yards and a pair of scores.
Jeffery Canady exploded for 326 yards and five touchdowns on 26 carries, lifting Knox Central to a 27-14 victory over Clinton, Tenn. The Panthers piled up 520 yards of total offense.
Anderson County quarterback Zach Carmichael went 16-of-22 for 309 yards and four TD passes as the Bearcats routed Mercer County 48-7. Ross Cox caught five balls and finished with 111 yards, and Dusty Puckett caught three touchdown passes and ended his night with 109 receiving yards.
Richard Trent ran for 227 yards and three touchdowns to lift Breathitt County to a 24-13 win over 2A No. 1 Somerset. The Bobcats senior also threw for 158 yards.
Ryan Timmons scored six touchdowns in Franklin County's quick-strike offense to help the Flyers to a 63-31 victory over Scott High School. Franklin County quarterback Logan Woodside completed 10 of 15 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns. Timmons piled up 155 yards on the ground with three TDs. He also scored on a 95-yard kickoff return and caught a pair of touchdown passes.
Garrett Peavler threw three touchdown passes in Lafayette's 55-21 win over Dunbar. The General QB finished with 161 passing yards. Kylan Nelson ran the ball just eight times, but finished with 129 yards and a touchdown. Emory Thomspon also threw a trio of TD passes for the Bulldogs.
Dylan Lancaster sacked the quarterback three times as Lexington Christian knocked off Hazard 27-21. Eagle sophomore quarterback Dima Ballard threw for 133 yards and a touchdown.
Scott County QB Clay McKee threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns on just three completions, all to Scott Daniels. The Cardinal signal caller also ran one in for a touchdown, as Scott County rolled Tates Creek 71-13. Kevo Edwards rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Commodore quarterback Graham Gordon threw for 243 yards and a TD.
Bourbon County running back Kentayvous Hopkins only ran the ball four times for 50 yards, but the senior scored four touchdowns in the Colonels' 51-8 victory over Harrison County. Hopkins scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, caught a 92-yard touchdown pass and returned an interception 35 yards for a score. Bourbon County quarterback Dalton Pope went 5-of-6 for 141 yards and three touchdowns.
Madison Southern running back Damien Harris carried the ball 14 times, and finished with 209 yards and five touchdowns, as the Eagles crushed Powell County 71-21. Madison Southern QB Adam Simpson completed six of his nine passes, throwing for 137 yards and a pair of TDs.
Casey Whittle led Boyle County to a 37-21 victory over Dixie Heights, throwing for 278 yards and four touchdowns. The Rebel quarterback also ran one in for a score.
Harlan County running back Jake Middleton needed just seven carries to pick up 177 yards and three touchdowns. The Black Bears downed Lee County-Jonesville, Va., 36-6.
Perry County Central quarterback Austin Pray threw for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and ran for 130 yards and another TD, as the Commodores topped Sheldon Clark 51-45.
Corbin running back Matt Jewell scored three touchdowns and finished with 179 rushing yards in a 35-14 Redhound victory over South Laurel.
Tyler Goins rushed for 177 yards and scored a touchdown in Pulaski County's 30-2 win over Rockcastle County. Maroon quarterback Riley Hall threw a pair of TD passes. Mason Helton, Aaron Smith and Caleb Cox all finished with double-digit tackles, as the Pulaski County defense shut out the Rocket offense.
Morgan County improved to 4-0 behind a 247 yard rushing day by Kody Thornsberry. The junior scored four rushing touchdowns on the night.
Devin Taylor ran for 208 yards and a touchdown to help West Jessamine to its first win of the season. The Colts topped Rowan County 21-20. Keontae Moore ran for 109 yards and a TD for the Vikings.
Covington Catholic quarterback Blake Bir completed 9 of 18 pass attempts for 192 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-6 win over Beechwood.
Cody Logan put together a 198-yard rushing night as Harlan beat Lynn Camp 53-7.
Pleasure Ridge Park quarterback Spencer Sumpter threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns in a 60-27 win over DeSales. He also ran one in for a score.
Oldham County senior Jacob Taylor ran for 180 yards and four touchdowns and caught a TD pass as the Colonels took down Covington Holy Cross 48-21.
