The top three remain unchanged in the most recent Kentucky High School Girls Soccer Coaches Association poll.
Notre Dame still sits at No. 1. The Pandas remain undefeated against in-state competition. The only glitch, a 1-1 tie with St. Henry. Notre Dame has lost just once, 1-0 to St. Ursula, Ohio.
Unbeaten Tates Creek comes in at No. 3. The Commodores have rolled up 12 victories, outscoring opponents 53-13. Tates Creek has three ties on its record, playing to stalemates with Assumption, Sylvania Northview, Ohio and Columbus North, Ind.
Scott County climbed two spots to fourth. The Cardinals ripped off eight straight wins before falling 3-2 to Dunbar. Scott County's victories include wins over ranked opponents Henry Clay, Lexington Catholic and Oldham County.
Lexington Catholic dropped a spot to No 10. The Knights lost to No. 2 Assumption in the Lexington Catholic Cup, but picked up wins over No. 11 DuPont Manuel and No. 17 Woodford County. Catholic also knocked off Dunbar 2-0 on Sept. 17.
West Jessamine stayed put at 12th. The Colts have just one lost on the season, falling 4-0 to No. 6 Sacred Heart. West Jessamine has played No. 9 Elizabethtown and No. 14 Henry Clay to ties.
Henry Clay picked up a spot. The Blue Devils' three losses on the season all came against ranked teams (Scott County, Boyle County and Tates Creek).
Woodford County slipped one position to 17th. The Yellow Jackets have struggled against ranked opponents. Woodford fell to Lexington Catholic and Elizabethtown in the Lexington Catholic Cup, but did pull out a 3-1 victory over Highlands. The Jackets' other loss this season came against Assumption.
Boyle County held steady at 18th. After a 1-1 tie with Woodford County on Aug. 29, the Rebels won three straight, but then dropped back-to-back games against Scott County and No. 20 Central Hardin. Boyle County bounced back with a 10-0 thumping of Garrard County.
Lexington Christian Academy made its debut in the top 25, coming in at 24 after knocking off No. 5 St. Henry 2-1 and No. 19 Owensboro Catholic 3-0 in the All-A Classic.
