PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) - An investigation into theft at a Tennessee Valley Authority power plant in western Kentucky has led to the arrest of a city official.
According to The Paducah Sun, Arlington City Council member Jason Bogle was charged with first-degree possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of receiving stolen property under $10,000.
Bogle was in the McCracken County Regional Jail Wednesday morning. The jail does not have records of inmates' attorneys.
Sheriff Jon Hayden said TVA police asked for a sheriff's department dog to conduct a routine safety sweep of the parking lot at the Shawnee Fossil Plant.
Officers say they found methamphetamine residue on paraphernalia in Bogle's trunk and discovered tools stolen from the plant. Police said other stolen tools were found in Bogle's home.
