What's life like as an undergraduate student assistant coach ? Since we can't talk with Enes Kanter, his teammates are happy to help.
Jon Hood calls him Coach Kanter. The 6-foot-11 inch center tries to help Terrence Jones.
"I talk to Enes before every game," says Jones.
"He wants to play. He always wants to give advice."
One topic seems to always come up.
"More rebounds. Anything he thinks I should do more, he tells me."
Cal has said his job is to get Kanter ready for the NBA draft. If Kanter is as good as everyone who watches UK's practice says he is, he can help Josh Harrellson. And, with Josh's improvement, he can help Kanter.
"Probably the whole practice it's me and him going head to head unless Eloy (Vargas) subs in," says Josh.
"I just try to go against him every play. If we are doing one on one, I try to make him guard me or me guard him. Just to make me a better player."
Wouldn't you love to see it. Josh and Kanter banging everyday in practice. So who wins?
"He scores on me and I score on him so it's both ways."
You are saying it's even?
"He is a little bit better, but not much."
You know his teammates would love to Free Enes.
