He still can't start because of Randall Cobb who is the all time touchdown machine for UK and Chris Matthews who leads all SEC receivers with touchdown passes.

LaRod King might be the hottest receiver in the SEC. 4 touchdowns in 2 games and 5 on the season. Against Georgia grabbing his second TD, he hurt his knee coming down with the tough catch. It's a sprain. At the time, the fear was, it was going to be a lot worse.

"I heard the pop when I landed," says King. "I thought my ACL is gone, my career is over right now. I'm not going to be able to bounce back. Everything is running through my mind. Hot flash. I was going crazy. I didn't know what to do. I was freaking out."

It's normal to think the worst when you are in that much pain.

"Definitely. I never had it before. It was a new experience for me. My mom was calling me, are you okay? I'm fine, I'm trying to relax. I just thank God it wasn't as bad as I thought it was."

It was pain King has never experienced.

"Worse by far. From breaking my arm before. My shoulder. Worst pain. Especially it's unique. I'm thinking I'm going to be in a wheelchair. I'm like I don't want that. I'm 19 years old so I don't want none of that."

King claims not to be a screamer, but when he went down, I could hear him screaming like crazy. It's been a long time since he's screamed like that.

"First time since I got a whooping when I was little. It was crazy man. I don't want to feel that pain again in my life."

This was most unusual. I never mentioned Mike Hartline. Never. King just started talking about his quarterback and how much he respects him.

"That's why I praise Mike Hartline again for all the stuff he's been through. From being booed off the field to now shine. That's what he needs to do. To step up as a senior. Even if he's wrong we think he's right. Anything he says is right because he's been through way worse than we have. Especially playing quarterback. Everything that happens on offense is his fault."

That is an amazing comment. That even if Hartline is wrong, the players think he's right. That's the kind of bonding in the locker room that every coach would like to see.
