Willie Cauley-Stein is closer to getting back on the court.
Cal said during his SEC coaches' teleconference Cauley-Stein will travel with the team to Ole Miss for Tuesday night's game, but it is doubtful he will play.
The good news is Stein is making big strides in getting closer to playing since he had a procedure on his knee.
Cal says that Stein has been going hard the past few days and is expected to be on the court Monday afternoon, but didn't know if he would be practicing.
Cal said the speed of recovery has been about what his staff anticipated.
Stein is averging 7.6 points and 5.8 rebounds a game. He has started 5 of the 16 games he's played in. He is hitting only 36 percent from the free throwoing line, but 62 percent from the field.
