Woman Accused Of Stealing More Than $10K From Richmond Business

Richmond police say a store employee managed to steal more than $10,000 from the business.

Police say the owners of Posh Tots on Meridian Way reported suspicious activities during an audit of sales reports. According to a police report, upon further investigation, the owners found that Tanya R. Horn, 33, stole $10,196 in cash between August 2012 and June 2014. Police say she also took more than $2,000 worth of clothing.

"We are shocked to the extent that she did it, so that was like we just couldn't let it slide..hopefully she'll get the help she needs because obviously it's a problem...I feel bad for her and her family" said Posh Tots owner Caroline Jackson.

Police arrested Horn Monday and charged her with theft by unlawful taking.

Tanya Horn declined a request for an interview.
