Woman Arrested After Man Cut During Argument

Lexington police arrested a woman after a man suffered cuts during an altercation Tuesday night.

Police say two women were visiting the man at a home along Fifth Street around 11 p.m. when one of them got into an argument with the victim over money. Investigators say the woman pulled a knife and the man suffered cuts to his hands trying to wrestle it away. The women both left.

Officers pulled the vehicle the women were in over along Martin Luther King Boulevard. Police arrested the driver, Betty Warner, 33, and charged her with assault along with traffic offenses.

Her passenger was not charged.

The victim was treated for some minor cuts and is expected to be OK.
