A 19-year-old woman arrested on the University of Kentucky campus on drug trafficking charges Wednesday is related to a central Kentucky mayor.
UKPD detectives arrested Rachel Siegelman, 19, just before noon at a campus parking lot. According to court documents, a police informant bought drugs from Siegelman on two different occasions over the past week. Police charged her with three counts of drug trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school and one count of trafficking LSD.
Siegelman's listed address on the arrest report matches the address of Versailles mayor Fred Siegelman. According to his online profile, Siegelman has three daughters, including one named Rachel.
Fred Siegelman had no comment on the matter.
