A woman accused of shooting her husband in the head as he slept in his Lincoln County home last month is reportedly undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

The Interior Journal newspaper reports authorities took Tamara Richie to a psychiatric center in La Grange on Nov. 1.

Deputies charged Richie with the October shooting death of David Richie. Investigators say his body wasn't discovered until three days after the shooting.

Tamara Richie is the sister-in-law of former Lincoln County Judge-Executive Buckwheat Gilbert.
