A woman suffered a minor injury when an intruder threw a Snapple bottle at her head during a break-in in Lexington early Tuesday morning.

Police say a man wearing a dark hoodie came in through the back window of a house on Buckhorn Drive around 3:30 a.m. The burglar tripped and saw a woman standing in her living room. The man threw a bottle that hit her in the head, then he fled.

EMS treated the woman at the scene.

Police brought in a K9 to search for the intruder, but they did not locate him.
