A woman was killed and her three daughters were injured in a violent single-vehicle crash in Laurel County Thursday morning.

The accident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on KY 490 in Laurel County. Officials say Jennifer McQueen, 41, of Laurel County somehow lost control of her SUV, went off the road, and flipped over in a ditch before the SUV came to a rest upright. McQueen was declared dead at the scene.

Police have not released many details about the children hurt in the incident, other than all three were hospitalized, and that none suffered life-threatening injuries. All three were expected to be released from the hospital later in the day Thursday
