A woman charged with animal cruelty in two different Franklin County cases pleaded guilty Tuesday.
According to the State Journal, Darlene Martin, 65, pleaded guilty to 33 counts of cruelty to animals in Franklin District Court. In January 2012, 32 dogs were taken from her home. Then last July, officials seized 34 more.
Martin was required to relinquish the dogs as part of the plea agreement. She cannot own any animals for the next 12 months.
With the guilty plea entered, the Franklin Franklin County Humane Society can release around 20 dogs for adoption. The animals will be available beginning at noon on Saturday on a first come first served basis.
