Louisville police say a woman shot by her boyfriend in a murder-suicide attempt Wednesday night died during surgery Thursday.

Police say Robert Levine, 46, shot his girlfriend, Amy Vick, 45, in the chest and then turned the gun on himself.

Officials say Vick's 12-year-old and 20-year-old children were in the home along Roederer Drive in Louisville at the time, but were not hurt.
