On Wednesday, Under Armour announced the addition of Woodford County High School pitcher Clinton Hollon to the roster for the 2012 Under Armour All-America Baseball Game
The game will be played at Wrigley Field on Saturday, August 18 at 12:30 p.m. CST and will air live nationally on MLB Network.
The Under Armour All-America Baseball Game showcases 36 of the best high school players, competing in an American vs. National team match-up. The players are selected by a committee of Baseball Factory scouts.
Hollon ranks among the hardest throwers in the 2013 class with a fastball in the mid-90s.
Hollon plans to play for the University of Kentucky.
"This year's class has depth on the mound. Clinton stands apart from the rest of his class as one the hardest throwing right-handed pitchers," said Steve Bernhardt, Chairman of the Under Armour All-America Game Selection Committee & Executive VP of Baseball Operations at Baseball Factory. "His success also results from his ability to throw strikes. We're looking forward to watching Clinton compete at Wrigley this year."
