An electrician working at the Morehead unemployment office, which is being renovated after flooding damaged the building, was electrocuted Friday afternoon.

Officials say the electrician, Michael Gribbins, 46, of Clearfield, was working in the attic of the building, located on Bradly Avenue. They say he was transported to St. Claire Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at about 2:30 p.m.

So far, officials have not determined the circumstances of how the Gribbons was electrocuted.
