Authorities Need Public's Help Finding Suspect Who Shot Dog

Posted: Updated:

The Garrard County Sheriff's Office is trying to find out who shot a dog with an arrow.

The dog, a five month old black lab, was in the woods in the Herrineton Haven Subdivision around 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening when a neighbor heard a dog crying for help. When the neighbor went to check out the noise, the dog, Molly, was trying to drag herself on her side to safety with an arrow sticking out of her other side.

Authorities say Molly is still at the vet and will likely be paralyzed.

The Garrard County Sheriff's Office has no suspects and asks anyone who may have any information to call (859) 792-3023. They say anyone who calls can remain anonymous and does not need to leave their information.
