A 5-month-old puppy shot by an arrow has been euthanized, sources confirmed.

Last month, LEX 18 told you about the Labrador puppy that was shot in the back with a large arrow.  Bobby Craft found his puppy outside of his Garrard County home. The arrow hit part of her spine.

The puppy held on for a month, but had to be put down due to the severity of her injuries.

Craft says there are a lot of deer in the woods near his home, but he has a hard time believing the incident was accidental.

"You can tell a 5-month-old lab from a deer," he told LEX 18.

The Garrard County Sheriff's Department is searching for the person responsible. If you have information, give them a call.
