The judge set bond at one million dollars for a man accused of stabbing a 6-year-old boy in his sleep.

Logan Tipton was stabbed in a home invasion early Monday morning.

Versailles police told LEX 18 they were sent to a home on Douglas Avenue around 3:51 am for a burglary in progress.

The Woodford County Coroner said Logan died from stab wounds. LEX 18 was told Logan was stabbed multiple times in his head and neck.

Officers said Logan was in his room asleep when 32 year old Ronald Exantus of Indianapolis allegedly entered the home and stabbed him. Police said after the stabbing, Logan's father got into a fight with Exantus in the home's hallway. Officers arrested Exantus at the scene.

Versailles Police said Logan attended Simmons Elementary. Grief counselors will be on hand today.

Exantus is charged with murder and burglary in the death of Logan Tipton, as well as three assault charges for cutting Logan's two sisters and fighting Logan's father. He was taken to the Woodford County Detention Center.

Exantus has been appointed an attorney. The preliminary hearing has been set for December 14 at 1:30 p.m.
