Sen. McConnell Releases Statement About Traditionalist Worker Party Conference

(LEX 18) Senator Mitch McConnell released a statement on the Traditionalist Worker Party’s conference for “white working families.”

McConnell’s statement is, “Based on what I've read about this group, it does not in any way reflect the values of the Eastern Kentucky I know. I wholeheartedly oppose its mission.

The Traditionalist Worker Part, in correlation with the Nationalist Socialist Movement and Nationalist Front Movement, announced the event via their Facebook page.

A counter-rally has been organized by citizens of Pike County who are unhappy with the event. 

Senator Ray Jones II of Pikeville announced that he plans to file joint resolution condemning the event.
