Shots Fired Into Lexington Home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX18) - Lexington police are investigating after they say shots were fired at a home while two people were inside.

It happened on Breathitt Avenue just after 4:30 Friday morning.

Police say the home was hit by three bullets and one bullet entered the home.

Two people were inside at the time, but no one was hurt.

The homeowner, Bennie Worthan, said that he was caring for his sick wife when the shooting happened. he said it was the first time this has happened at his home, but sadly, it seems to be routine.

"People had the house next door shot at, the girl over there had her house shot up," said Worthan.

There have been no arrests.

    LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- One man has died following a late night shooting. Police were called to Anderson Street near Speigle Heights Park around 10:30 Monday night. Police say they found William Cole, 26, with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died. Police say their forensics team reviewed the scene, but at this time a motive for the shooting is unclear and they have no suspects.
