Woman Arrested After Hit-And-Run In Bourbon Co.

BOURBON COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) -- A Bourbon County woman is behind bars after an early morning hit-and-run.

Police tell LEX 18 it happened Monday morning around 4 a.m. near Vine and 14th Streets in downtown Paris.

The victim told police that the suspect, who he identified as 23-year-old Melanie Epley, ran over him several times, injuring him.

He is expected to be okay.

After that, police say that Epley left the scene without calling 911 and went to a home off Hutchinson Road.

She was located by police within an hour or so after the incident. Epley was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, and 1st degree wanton endangerment.
