One Dead After Rockcastle County Hit And Run

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) -- Kentucky State Police have identified the woman killed after being struck by a vehicle.

The crash happened about 10:30 Thursday night on Highway 25 and  McCollum Road just north of Conway. Amy M. Bingham, 37, was found lying in the roadway.

People living in the area said it was a semi-truck that hit and killed a woman. They said the truck did not stop. Police have not identified the vehicle.

Just over an hour earlier, state police were called to a crash on I-75 northbound near mile marker 62. Traffic was diverted from the interstate onto Highway 25 at that time.

No word yet if the two accidents are connected.
