4 Indicted In Shooting Death Of Pregnant Lexington Woman, Unborn Child

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) A Fayette County grand jury has indicted four men on charges of murder, fetal homicide and robbery in relation to the shooting of a pregnant woman last year.

Skylar Bishop Stigall, Demetrioun Lamar Boaz, Joseph "Jodie" Fain and Saquan Ysai Freeman were indicted earlier this week.

Maryiah Coleman was walking her family's dog on Winburn Drive when she was shot. She and her unborn son, Jakobe, died at UK Hospital.  Coleman was not the intended recipient of the gunfire. Rather the three men are accused of attempting to rob someone they knew. When the intended victim tried to run, police say the suspects fired several shots and Coleman was hit.

Boaz, Freeman and Fain are also accused in an October shooting on Red Mile Road.

All four men are scheduled to be arraigned April 27.
