Man Arrested After Stealing Change From Laundry Rooms

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) - A man is in jail after taking more than just his laundry out of washers and dryers.

According to police, there has been a three-month long cycle of laundry room break-ins in eight apartment complexes around Lexington.

Leif Morgan, 37, was arrested late Wednesday night after police say he stole change from those washers and dryers.

They believe Morgan is the man in surveillance videos from multiple locations that show him drilling holes to steal coins from the machines.

Police said Morgan admitted to the not-so-squeaky clean act and has been charged with 3rd Degree Burglary.
