Police Release Surveillance Photos From Nicholasville Robbery

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) -- Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspects in a robbery that took place earlier this week.

The Speedway on North Main Street was robbed a little after 4 a.m. on April 18. 

The clerk stated that two male subjects wearing hooded sweatshirts forced him to open the cash register. One of the subjects was armed with a handgun. One suspect had the clerk empty the cash register while the other stole some tobacco products. Both subjects then fled on foot towards McDonald's.

Police are hoping someone will recognize the suspects' clothing. The faces of the suspects are completely covered.
