ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) -- Three people have been arrested in connection to a murder in Rockcastle County earlier this year.

Kentucky State Police tell LEX 18 that Jonathan W. Taylor, Kayla Pitman and Levi Bradley have been arrested. Taylor and Bradley are charged with robbery, burglary, and murder. Pitman is facing a charge of hindering apprehension and prosecution.

According to his arrest citation, Taylor and Bradley broke into the home of Benny Sanders on January 6. Police say Sanders was then shot point blank range and then robbed him.

Sanders was 71-years-old. He was the starting quarterback for the Knoxville College Bulldogs and was well-known and well-loved.

Pitman is accused of helping the suspects flee police.
