Former University of Kentucky Running Back, Alfonso Smith, retired from the NFL in 2014 after playing for Jim Harbaugh in San Franciso.
Now, Smith is going to start a coaching career under Harbaugh at Michigan. The Louisville native will be the running back and special teams coach for the Wolverines. He revealed the news on his Facebook page saying "Goodbye AZ! Wheels up to Michigan to start my coaching career." He then added this picture to his Facebook page of his parking spot at the football facility.
Smith played at Waggener High School in Louisville and then at UK from 2006-'09. The majority of his pro career was spent with the Arizona Cardinals before he played the one season in San Francisco for Harbaugh.
