LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)-- A man learned his stolen truck was involved in a high speed chase by watching it crash on live TV.

The chase with Louisville Metro Police started about 2:15 Thursday afternoon.

Officers had tried to stop Stuart Timmonds, 34, in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

Timmonds, who was already wanted on several charges, led officers on a ten mile high-speed chase across the city.

He eventually crashed the stolen truck into two other vehicles, including a police cruiser, and was arrested.

The truck's owner, Eric Gathwright, said he had no idea his truck had even been stolen until he turned on the TV.

Officers say this is the second time in less than a week that Timmonds rammed a police car.

He faces a number of charges.
