Former University of Kentucky forward, Patrick Patterson, has had surgery on his knee.
The forward just recently signed a three year, $16.4 million dollar contract to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He had been with the Toronto Raptors since the 2013 season. He averaged 8 points and 5 rebounds while playing about 25 minutes per game the last four seasons.
Patterson underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in Los Angeles. Now, he will miss the next four to six weeks before he's evaluated again. NewsOK.com reports that the team says there is no structural damage to Patterson's knee.
The Thunder are scheduled to open training camp on September 26.
