FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) --  One person is dead in a Floyd County trailer park in the Auxier community.

KSP said that the preliminary investigation indicated 35-year-old Brandon Endicott, of Prestonsburg, entered his ex-girlfriend, Krystal Shepherd’s home. While there, KSP says Shepherd discharged a firearm, striking Endicott.

He left the scene and was found dead in a neighboring yard. A stray bullet went into a neighboring trailer.

His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.  Brandon Endicott has a warrant for assault that had been placed by Shepherd last week. According to court paperwork, Endicott repeatedly hit and used his knee to strike the victim in the face resulting in 16 stitches and a broken bones.

This case will be presented to a grand jury for consideration. Shepherd has not been charged.
