BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University junior All-Americans Charlotte Imer and Jamaine Coleman swept the Ohio Valley Conference cross country Runners of the Week awards on Tuesday.

Imer was named OVC Female Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week after finishing second out of 41 competitors at the Bluegrass Invitational on Saturday with a 5K time of 16:53.9. The native of Melbourne, Australia led the Colonels past host Kentucky (then-No. 4 in the NCAA Southeast Region) to the team title.

The EKU women are now ranked No. 4 in the Southeast, matching their highest regional ranking ever.

Coleman earned OVC Male Runner of the Week honors after placing second at the Bluegrass Invitational, behind only Kentucky All-American and National Runner of the Week Jacob Thompson. The native of Preston, England clocked a personal-best 8K time of 23:53.3 and helped lead the Colonels past host Kentucky (then-No. 5 in the Southeast Region) to the team title.

Coleman and the EKU men jumped one spot to No. 5 in the Southeast in the most recent U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings.

Imer, Coleman and the cross country Colonels return to action the weekend of September 29-30 at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (men only) and the Greater Louisville Classic.
