Fund Established For Son Of Murdered Lexington Woman

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) - Police are still looking for answers in the murder of a 37-year-old woman after her body was found near a railroad underpass.

Meghan Acord died of multiple trauma from an assault.  Her body was left under the overpass on East Loudon Avenue on Sunday. 

Acord had just given birth to a son, Holden, earlier this year. According to her obituary, Holden was named after the beach where the victim and her family spent summers when she was young.

Acord was originally from Ashland, Ky.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Steen Funeral Home.

No arrests have been made in her murder.
