BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Volleyball (18-2) will close its non-conference slate with a Tuesday night matchup against Austin Peay from Diddle Arena. The Lady Govs enter the midweek tilt with a 17-3 record and sit atop the Ohio Valley Conference standings. Action will commence at 7 p.m. CT in Bowling Green.
Following a one-match weekend, WKU Volleyball will look to continue building upon its current 14-match win streak while Austin Peay will try to get back in the win column after suffering a loss in its most recent match. Additionally, the Lady Toppers will look to keep their unblemished home record that way, currently sitting at 7-0 when playing inside Diddle Arena.
The Red and White own the advantage in the all-time series against APSU with a 30-11 reading in addition to claiming the last 13 matches. During that span, WKU has picked up nine sweeps of the Lady Govs.
Austin Peay will come to town with a 6-1 record as the away team this season. The visitors return 11 of their 13 letterwinners from last year’s 24-11 squad. Five starters plus the libero return for head could Taylor Mott as well.
While the sides have not faced any common opponents to date, Austin Peay has taken on Marshall and UAB, teams the Lady Toppers will face in the common weeks. The lady Govs have suffered losses at the hands of Northern Iowa (3-1), Ole Miss (3-0) and Eastern Kentucky (3-1).
Looking ahead, WKU will hit the road after its four-match homestand, headed for UAB and FIU this weekend.
