BEREA, Ky. (LEX 18)-- A man is facing several charges after police say he stabbed someone during an argument.

An officer was flagged down Friday near a residence on Center Street, and observed a man with a stab wound in his chest.

The officer observed the possible suspect get in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was parked in front of the residence. The officer ordered the subject out the vehicle, who then fled on foot into the wooded area beside of Fairway Drive.

Officials say he was apprehended after a short foot chase and placed under arrest. The knife that was used was recovered inside of the vehicle where the subject had been sitting. An investigation revealed that he came to the home to confront the homeowner about a dispute the two were having, which led to the stabbing.

Gregory Seney, 39, of Lancaster, was arrested and is facing charges of second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence, and second-degree fleeing or evading police.

The calm this morning will help people get a start on the cleanup. Clouds hang around through the day, but you may see a little sunshine this morning. ...
