RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) - The twin brothers who police say were involved in a weekend murder in Richmond are still on the lam.
LEX 18 has obtained the criminal backgrounds of Elton and Eltron Bailey and discovered a lengthy history involving alleged assaults and attempted murder.
Richmond Police say they were called to a home on Foxhaven Drive around 3:15 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a fight where shots were fired. They found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The Madison County Coroner confirms Jaicoatai Dean, 21, died around 4 a.m. at the hospital.
Wednesday, Richmond Police issued arrest warrants for twin brothers Elton and Eltron for murder. The twins both have a lengthy criminal background in Lexington which has resulted in multiple persistent felony offender charges for both brothers.
Elton and Eltron were charged with attempted murder/domestic violence in 2012 which was amended to wanton endangerment. Elton was also charged with robbery in 2008, which was amended down in September of the following year.
The pair was also connected to the shooting of 18-year-old Anthony Beard on Pemberton Street in 2009. The pair were charged with assault and wanton endangerment. They were sentenced to 5 years in that case.
They are considered to be armed and dangerous. If you know their whereabouts, contact 911.
