Burglar Breaks Glass, Fires Shots In Early Morning Break-In

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) - Lexington Police say that a burglary suspect may have been hurt after an early morning break-in.

Police say a man broke into a home on High Ridge Street in the early morning hours of Friday. The suspect broke in through a glass door and at some point, they believe he fired shots into the home's ceiling.

Something startled the burglar and he fled the scene. None of the home's occupants were injured. They did find blood near the broken glass door.

Crime Scene Units are inspecting evidence and trying to figure out exactly what was stolen.
