Lawyer Holds "Where Is Eric C Conn" Betting Pool To Benefit Animals

Posted: Updated:

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) - Eric C. Conn, the former disability attorney who skipped town before being sentenced on federal charges, is the subject of much speculation. The FBI said Eric was still in the country a few months ago. Others believe he has taken money and is hiding somewhere that has no extradition treaty with the US.

Ned Pillersdorf, an attorney representing Conn's former clients whose benefits were taken away by the Social Security Administration, has started a fundraiser for the Floyd County Animal Shelter.

The "Official Where is Eric Conn Betting Pool" will accept wagers. Participants put money into the jar correlating with their best guess of where Conn is hiding.

The choices are Cuba, Thailand, the Marshall Islands or "He never left", a nod to a commercial in which Conn announced to a beautiful model outside his law complex that he "never left" despite allegations and rumors of his wrongdoing.

It was a slogan that ultimately proved to be false.

Those correctly picking his location will receive a framed copy of the fax he sent attorney Ned Pillersdorf twelve days after he left his ankle bracelet near I-75.

All wagers will be donated to the Floyd County Animal shelter and the tabulated results will be forwarded to the FBI.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Appearing on "The Brian Thomas Show" Tuesday morning, Gov. Matt Bevin referred opponents of pension reform as "drowning victims" who need to be "knocked out" for their own good. The governor was talking about the battle he has fought over Senate Bill 151. He told Thomas that the pension system had to be saved, but it was difficult when those affected by the bill continued to fight him.
