Man Charged In Lexington Woman's Murder Brought Back To Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) The man arrested in the murder of a Lexington mother in Des Moines, Iowa was transported back to Kentucky Thursday.

35-year-old Valenti N. Ware was charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in the death of Meghan Acord. October 20, he was apprehended by the U.S. Marshal Service Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force.

Her body was found on October 1 near the railroad tracks in the Loudon Avenue and Eastland Drive Area. 

Acord had just given birth to a son, Holden, earlier this year. According to her obituary, Holden was named after the beach where the victim and her family spent summers when she was young.
