Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) - Mark your calendars: On Nov. 7 you can get the chance to test your skills against military veterans.

An event dubbed "Operation Wildcat" pairs veterans and civilians for a series of athletic tests.

The effort is a collaboration between the University of Kentucky Sports Medicine Research Institute and Team R-W-B, a national organization that works to enrich the lives of military veterans.

People of all ages are encouraged to participate in the event.

During the event, teams will be given a "mission" that mirrors an actual military exercise. The goal is to foster community and health through shared activity.

"Operation Wildcat" will be held at Kroger Field on Nov. 7 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
