Coroner Finds Next Of Kin After Plea

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) -- The Fayette County Coroner was able to find next of kin for a recently deceased man after putting out plea to the public seeking help.

Roger Lee Martin died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital, officials said. Martin was described as a black 54-year-old who had been a resident of Messner Home on Versailles Road.

Coroner's officials said earlier Friday that they have been unable to contact his mother, father and a grandmother, all of whom were also listed as Lexington residents.

"Because of your help we have found relatives and have notified the next of kin of Mr. Roger Lee Martin," Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said later Friday.
