Police Asking For Information After Assault

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- Police are investigating an early morning assault, that was originally believed to be a shooting. 

It happened around 12:10 a.m. Monday at Imperial Trailer Park on West Loudon Avenue.

Police say the male victim was found suffering from significant injuries. He was taken to UK Hospital, where it was determined he had not been shot but had been assaulted.

The victim's injuries are serious but are not life-threatening, according to police. 

There are no suspects in custody at this time. 

Detectives are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lexington Police by calling (859) 258-3600.
