BARDSTOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) - A truck driver is being sued in connection with a May collision that killed a Harrodsburg couple and their 3-year-old granddaughter.
According to a report in the Kentucky Standard, court documents allege the crash may have been caused by prescription drug use.
The crash occurred in May on the Bluegrass Parkway near Bardstown.
Investigators say a semi truck driven by Richie Warren crossed the median and hit a car killing Delmer O'Dell, 72, his wife, Vivian, and their 3-year-old granddaughter, Kieren.
According the published report, court documents say Warren may have been under the influence of Oxycodone causing him to fall asleep at the time of the crash.
