FRANKFORT, Ky (LEX 18) The FBI has confirmed that it is getting involved in the sexual harassment case against Kentucky House Speaker Jeff Hoover to determine whether federal law was violated.

Saturday, Hoover addressed the allegations, saying he had made mistakes but he denied some things.

He acknowledged that he and several other lawmakers settled sexual harassment claims last month. He claims he did not sexually harass one of his staffers, but he said he did engage in "inappropriate behavior."

The attorney for the employee who accused Hoover tells LEX 18 that her resignation is imminent and he expects her to resign by the end of the day.

Hoover resigned from his role as speaker but did not resign from being a state representative.
