WALTON, Ky. (WLWT) — Police are saying a road rage incident led to a shooting at a Northern Kentucky truck stop Tuesday.
One man is dead after he shot another man and then himself. WLWT reports that the shooting happened about 10 a.m. at the Pilot Travel Center off Interstate 71/Interstate 75 in Walton.
Video shows two drivers who got into an altercation near the gas pumps. Ronald Melvin Jr., 44, of Morrow, is seen getting out of his truck and walking up to another truck.
Then, it shows Melvin running for cover after apparently being shot, police said.
Police said Jeffrey Maggard, 60, of Walton shot Melvin, then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.
Melvin was taken to UC Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the arm. Right now, police believe the shooting stemmed from some sort of road rage incident.
