Lawrenceburg Woman Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle Near Harrodsburg

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (LEX 18) - The Fayette County Coroner's Office says a Lawrenceburg woman has died after being hit by a vehicle near Harrodsburg.

Ashley Rader, 31, suffered blunt force trauma to her head when she was struck by a vehicle Monday near Harrodsburg, officials said.

Rader was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, where she was pronounced dead Tuesday about 4:30 p.m. She is the second person who was struck and killed in that block in 18 months.

The coroner's office says Rader's death remains under investigation.
