Police Looking For Woman Behind Bizarre Behavior Caught On Cam

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) - Lexington Police are trying to find a woman who was caught on camera demonstrating bizarre behavior.

In late September, an officer took a vandalism report after a homeowner on Estrella Drive noticed damage to her landscaping. Home surveillance video revealed that in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 23, an older white female approached the front door of a house on Estrella Drive and moved the welcome mat from the porch. The woman was also observed damaging a shrub.  She appears to be looking for a key.

According to the victim, neighbors had noticed other unusual activity that weekend, including light bulbs removed from garage and porch lights.

The police department has released the surveillance video in hopes of generating new leads in these cases. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lexington Police.

Anonymous tips, including photos and videos, can be submitted by texting LEXPD plus the tip to CRIMES (274637). Information can also be sent anonymously through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020 or www.bluegrasscrimestoppers.com.
